Happy New Year!

Updated: Jan 3

It's December 31, 2022, and I'm eight hours away from a new year. You would be right if you guessed I have a lot on my mind. Even more so this year than others because I'm about to embark on change…lots of significant change.

After a childhood that consisted of walking in and out of revolving doors, I tend to like keeping things small and safely contained, but it's time… It's time to stop avoiding and accepting. Accept that I've lost family members and dear friends this year. Ones, I can only visit in my dreams, a photograph, or in a song.

I've let go of people whose presence was not good for me over the last twelve months, and it created space for other souls to fill the void. I've met new people from all over the world that inspire me to be a better writer, artist, and person through their art and purpose in their lives. They raise me with support when I feel I'm slipping and encourage me when I'm lost.

I found a way to make the passions I had in middle school become my reality today. I became a published poet, sold more art, and by mid-January, I'll be adding a new item to the list of things I hope to do...

I will have finished training to be a Primordial Sound meditation teacher with Deepak Chopra and become a member of the Chopra Global Community!

A gift I gave myself for my birthday last September, and I just finished my final and submitted my presentation videos and log of teaching!

I'm thrilled to be part of a beautiful group of individuals who want and ARE changing the world one day at a time by sharing their knowledge. I can't believe I'm in the home stretch. When I started, I feared I wouldn't be up to the task. Fear...another unneeded sensation that is being let go of and replaced with love.

Thank you, Deepak Chopra, Roger Gabriel, Mallika Chopra, Manjula and all the other teachers who have helped me grow and given me the tools to do what I enjoy. Helping others heal.

I worked hard training my body and brain to discover it doesn't need to be in pain, emotionally or physically, anymore. I've learned how to remain calm and at peace in the chaos. This will help when my son moves to the Los Angeles area next month. And make it a more enjoyable experience for me if and when I join him.

I found a way to take all that hindered me, and instead of focusing on what I could not do, I decided to put my energy into what I could try!

Happy New Year, Everyone! I appreciate every single one of you and I hope 2023 is so freakin' good to you
